Well Visual Studio 2005 beta 2 was going just fine until I tried to add a Web Reference and then I got a dialog with the following error:

some of the files required for web references are not installed








I found an uninstall utility at highlighted link.
Hope the link above helps you the way it helps me.
They strongly recommend uninstalling/reinstalling the whole thing.

After that a visit to the download center should get you the latest beta versions to reinstall.
This really is a chore.

The only solution was to install the development system on a machine with Windows XP Pro and generate my SOAP Web References there.

I could use the SOAP Web References on my Windows 2000 machine.

So there is the work around.
